The legacy of Navy baseball, which fielded strong teams during both WWII and the Korean War, is represented with this pinstriped button-front jersey. Heavy wear is evident throughout including staining and other forms of wear concentrated around the collar. The front of the jersey features a blue "Navy" across the chest and the reverse features a "5" also in blue felt. The inside of the Rawlings size 42 shirt contains a Sharpie notation, but diligent research was unable to match the name to a Navy player who could have used the uniform. It is possible that the uniform was used during the Korean War based on the period that the collectible is likely from.
