Phillies phandom begins here! One year after the Athletics debuted in the American Association, the Quakers (who would soon change their name to the Phillies) joined the National League. Measuring 4-1/4 x 6-3/4", this sturdy fold-over scorecard hails from a loss to the powerful Gothams led by Connor, Ward and Welch. It features lovely front-cover illustrations of Recreation Park and various Victorian-era athletes. The presentation quality is about EX, with closer inspection revealing a horizontal crease along the top edge. A significant and desirable relic for the advanced Philadelphia collector.
