The oldest of a trio of Alou ballplayers including brothers Mateo and Jesus, Felipe Alou, a native of Bajos de Haina, Dominican Republic, had a successful career that saw him amass more than 2,100 hits and lead the league in hits in both 1966 and 1968. This game-used jersey comes from 1967, which was sandwiched between two of his three all-star appearances. The vintage home flannel was manufactured by MacGregor according to the label on the front fringe of the center of the garment, reading "SET 1 1967". The chest has "BRAVES 29" in blue-on-red twill in the same fashion as "2" appears on reverse. A green MacGregor size 44 label is found in the neck and the left shoulder has a vintage "Braves" patch.
