Fantographers know well, amateur snapshots offer a candid, intimate, spontaneous, extemporaneous quality that's almost never found in professional photography. Here's a wonderful case in point, with a riveting array of spring-training snapshots, mostly measuring between 3-1/2 x 2-1/2" and 3-1/2" square. Connie Mack is the central figure who by far makes the most appearances, and he's captured palling around with Honus Wagner, conversing with Happy Chandler and Billy Southworth, taking cuts at batting practice, donning catcher's equipment, attending to special guests, and so much more. The Tall Tactician is joined by Chief Bender (including a rare shot of just Bender/Mack together), Al Simmons, Billy Herman, Hank Greenberg, Dykes, Kellner, Bo. Shantz, Dillinger, Brucker, Hausmann, Fowler, Padgett, F. McCormick, I. Thomas, Elliott, Rosar, Brissie, Vernon, Salkeld, Hopp, McCosky, etc. There is also Greasy Neale with Mack, and General George C. Marshall with and without Mack. EX condition overall. A unique and fascinating collection!
