A hot pitching prospect out of Georgetown, Sam Hyman was courted by multiple pro teams and logged a lengthy minor-league career...but alas never reached the majors. Hyman's personal scrapbook recounts his baseball journey at the height of the Golden Age. There are 8 pages ranging from approximately 8-1/2 x 7-1/2" to 14-1/2 x 11-1/2" and showing GD/VG condition overall (as expected for a century-old scrapbook) with "7-8" signatures. Highlights include: 1) 1919 Braves Walter Hapgood TLS; 2) 1920 Georgetown Varsity certificate; 3) 1920 Tigers Frank Navin TLS; 4) 1920 Braves George Grant TLS; 5) 1935 Hartford Baseball Club check; 6) 1934 Commissioner Kenesaw Landis TLS (final "s" trimmed). Also various snapshots and news clippings. Auction LOA from JSA.
