"What a thrill I am going to have when I step on the Old Common again reminding me of the 'great' fourth of July game of 1883, only fifty-one years ago." So said Connie Mack upon returning to his hometown of Brookfield, MA, for a celebration in his honor. Measuring 7 x 9-3/4", the beautiful, elegantly designed, well-preserved program offers a career retrospective to Mack, as well as to event emcee George M. Cohan—not to mention to Brookfield in general and Brookfield ballplayers Martin Bergen and Frank Bird in particular. The scorecard for a game between the Foxx-led A's and the North Brookfield Amortreds has not been filled out. EX display appearance overall with close inspection revealing a corner crease and discreet vertical fold, along with reverse soiling. Accompanied by a 5x8 "Connie Mack Day" invitation (EX).
