Joe Moeller is one of the horror stories of young men who are mismanaged by the organizations which draft them. A young fireballer, he had the kind of dominant stuff that reminded others of Koufax when he first came up in the minors. Unfortunately, a coach convinced Moeller to model his curveball after a young pitcher whose curve was awful, ruining his feel for the pitch and (most likely) a great amount of his future success. This 1970 home flannel jersey was worn by Moeller. The size 44 button up jersey features light to moderate game use and is missing the bottom button. "Dodgers" appears across the chest and "25" on reverse, both in blue. A red "25" is on the left breast and the left tail has "Moeller 24 44/4 Set B 1970" sewn on in felt. A solid collectible for vintage baseball enthusiasts.
